About

Andrea Scotland was born in the USA, but was raised in Guyana and Barbados where her parents are from. Her heritage and experiences growing up have molded this self professed West Indian into the smart, elegant, sexy and sophisticated woman that she has become.

While she dabbled a bit in modeling in Guyana during her early years, she got her feet wet at the age of 19 while attending Buffalo State College. There she appeared in the numerous fashion shows, often as the featured model. In 1997 Andrea won the coveted title of Queen for the Caribbean Students Organization.

Andrea’s professional modeling career began in 2000/2001 when she strutted down the runway at Giovanni’s in Manhattan, NY. Her decision to pursue a modeling career was sparked by her love for showcasing various clothing from couture gowns to casual wear. She also wanted to alter the mindset of the industry by attempting to change their outlook of models from “waif” to “curvaceous”. She believes that there is a place for all of them. Curvaceous, Confident and Determined are verbs she uses to describe herself.

Andrea has worked the tri-state areas of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut making TV appearances and burning up the runways. Her portfolio includes work for BET Black Enterprise/Our World, Harlem Fashion Week Showcase, Fashion from the Heart, Brownstone Fashion Showcase, Grants Tomb, Harlem’s EnVogue, Circle of Sisters, Harlem’s Flava Fashion Show, Jolie Magazine and Her Game 2, just to name a few.

Apart from modeling, Andrea works as a media buyer and real estate agent. She currently resides in New york.
